Inspired by Gold and Roses

I created a card inspired by the Paper Craft Crew Challenge picture of the week. The minute I saw it, I know I wanted to do some sort of background with gold dots. I decided to gold heat emboss the rose and I sponged vellum using sponge daubers to heat emboss those as well. I then added gold shimmer ribbon and gold enamel dots to add more bling to the celebration.

Heat embossing is one of my favorite techniques to use with line art images. It really emphasizes the detail of the line art whether or not you use any other coloring techniques.

I did add a red rose, but I added it to the inside of the card. I liked the thought of an elegant black and gold card with a suprise red rose on the inside.
