Interlocking Gatefold Birthday Card
Today I am hopping with lots of other Stampin’ Up! (R) demonstrators around the world. Check out all the amazing projects and take a moment to be inspired to create something amazing yourself.
I used the colors from the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge for the week as inspiration for this birthday card and tried something new. I made a gatefold card with interlocking dies–one on each side. I used the Stitched Shapes dies to make two square that fit together, stamped on center square and attached the sentiment label to the outside square layer.
I also added color directly to the embossing folder before embossing the cardstock for the card front. It’s a very subtle addition of color, but adds a hint of Petal Pink, Mint Macaroon, and Highland Heather. All three colors are also used to add a watercolor wrapping paper to the gift box stamped on the front of the card.
