Leaves of Gratitude

As I was driving around the neighborhood, I was in awe of the variety of brightly colored trees all around me. The reds are brilliant right now and I am seeing yellow, brown, and even some metallics and greens. And, it is November 8. Many years, by November there are no leaves left on our trees. Sometimes, we miss the entire autumn color season. The world goes straight from full green trees to a frozen world with leaves that are dead and falling off the trees before they get a chance to show their vibrant fall colors.

This card doesn’t do a great job showing the vibrant variety of colors outside my window this fall. That’s because I chose to create leaves in varying metallic shades and shimmer. I cut these leaves out of all three shades in the Brushed Metallic Cardstock pack as well as the gold metallic specialty paper. The leaves are on a layer of cork specialty paper to add texture.

The leaves on this card glimmer and shimmer.
