#simplestamping Cabin Adventure

Did you think #simplestamping and using only stamps, ink, and paper on a card means boring? I hope the above card shows you that is not the case. This card was made using only stamps, ink, and paper.

You can even add color to the stamped images by simply coloring with Stampin’ Write Markers to create multi colored scenes. The Stamparatus is a great tool to use to stamp scene images and then add color directly by re-stamping with the same stamp colored with multiple markers. This adds color exactly where you want it.

If you’ve ever used the markering technique before you know that you need to “huff” or breathe on the stamp after coloring to re-activate the ink before stamping the image. Well, no matter how many times I have used the markering technique, apparently my husband has never witnessed the event. Until Today. He was shocked as I prepared to “huff” on my stamp and the look on his face was indescribable. After I explained the process and what I was doing, it took several minutes before I could calmly re-activate the ink to finish the stamping. Every time I started to “huff” on the stamp, my husband would yell, “DON’T LICK IT” and I would burst into giggles and be unable to finish the card.

Sometimes creating a card can creates tons of fun and fits of giggles for a variety of reasons. What are some of your fun stories from cardmaking adventures?

  1. I love your multi coloured cabin & trees – I never seem to get a good crisp image when doing this with my markers. Yours has come up beautifully. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week. x

    1. Thanks Patrice. The Stamparatus has really helped me with the markering technique. It definitely helps to be able to re-color the stamp and stamp again in the exact same spot. These images were probably stamped at least three or four times.
