Mothers Day

When you think of Mothers Day, what comes to mind? Do you want to celebrate the mothers in your life, whether your mom, grandma, mother-in-law, sister, daughter, friends? Or do you want to hide until the day is over?

Either because you the words mother and celebrate don’t match in your experience. When you think of mothers, celebrating is the last thing on your mind. Or, your mom is gone and you miss her so much you can’t imagine a day of celebration without her.

Regardless of your thought about Mother’s Day, take a day for relaxation. Enjoy the beauty of nature. Spend time reading, meditating, taking a nap, whatever says relaxation to you. And, if you can provide that relaxation for a mother figure or two in your life this Mother’s Day, do it.

Card Details

The card screams relaxation from the beginning. The soft green colors evoke feelings of peace and calm. The idea of sitting under a willow tree sounds like a peaceful, relaxing afternoon to me.

The diecuts are the stars of this card. The willow tree on the front of the card is created with a stamped image of the leaves, topped with two stamped and diecut images in different colors of green. The tree trunk is also stamped and diecut.

Finally, the diecuts of the leafy green branches carry into the center of the card.
