My Best Part of 2021 So Far

I am honored to have been invited to be part of the design team for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenges this year. I have been playing along for awhile and am so excited to be part of this group of amazing designers as we share our love for Stampin’ Up!

This first challenge of 2021 is Designer’s Choice which gives so much freedom to share amazing Stampin’ Up! products. With the launch of the January-June 2021 mini catalog today, it seemed like a perfect time to make a card introducing products from that catalog.

I love that the products from the Handsomely Suited Suite provide products that make it possible to create realistic suits with such a variety of patterns, detail, etc. The detail on the buttons and stitched straight line for the pocket are what got me when creating this card. I love the small details that are so intricate and really make a card special.

I wanted this card to have a feeling of romance, so I chose to create the tie with the Rococo Rose foil. I also used the ends of the tie die, cut smaller to create the handkerchief folded up and sticking out of the suit pocket. I had to use some expert design help from my teenage son to help make the handkerchief look realistically folded in the suit pocket. Thanks Noah!

I carried the romance into the card interior with a line of hearts in the same Rococo Rose color as the foil tie.
