No Stamping Needed

Want a gorgeous card but for whatever reason you’re not into stamping? Do you need a card with no stamping needed?

No Stamping Needed

  • Maybe you don’t like the look of stamped images
  • Maybe you don’t have stamps or ink
  • Maybe you make cards on the go and have nowhere to keep ink safely stored
  • Maybe you don’t like ink on your fingers
  • Maybe you don’t like the homemade quality of inky fingerprints and smudges on your cards
  • Maybe it’s faster
  • Maybe you figure the gorgeous papers speak for themselves

Whatever the reason, there are many ways to make cards and projects with no stamping needed.

Stampin’ Up! has kits in their kit collection designed for you with all parts cut and ready to go. You can either create this cards exactly as designed by the kit. Or you can create an alternate card using your imagination coupled with the parts from the kit, like I did with this one. They have both stamping kits and no stamping required. Both card kits and other paper projects. Check out the kit collection here.

Card Details

When I chose to work on the Saying Thanks kit during my March online kit class, I created most of the cards exactly as designed. But, I did save two of the card bases with this look of rainbow watercolor wash. I didn’t at that time know what I would be creating, but I knew that paper was special enough it needed to be featured on a card.

When I saw the sketch for Paper Craft Crew Challenge #510 I knew what I was going to do with one of them. Since this is a no stamping card kit, it would also be perfect for the Just Add Ink no stamping challenge.

First, trim the paper. Next, add a Gorgeous Grape cardbase. You end with a completely different design than the one’s in the kit itself.

Yesterday’s blog post featured a card made for a challenge that need to take 10 minutes or less. I didn’t time this one, but I’m fairly certain it also fits in that 10 minutes or less category. In fact, during my March kit class, I got 7 out of the 9 cards included in the kit created in under 60 minutes. Need a quick card? Kits are the way to go.

The Saying Thanks Kit is currently unavailable. But, since you can still see it in the online store marked unavailable, that means it is coming back. So, if you’re interested in knowing when it comes available again, let me know and I’ll try to keep you updated.

Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink #645 and PCC510 to see the inspiration cards by the design teams and other creative entries.
