Peaceful Cabin in the Woods

Has life been throwing you more than you can handle? Does it seem like just when you start to get your head above water something else comes along to push back under the water?

These past couple of years there have been new, unprecidented traumas and changes every other day–or at least that is what it felt like. Just when you think you might have a handle on the new normal, everything turns upside down again.

Or, maybe you just want to pretend nothing has changed and go on blindly living life like pre-2020 until you are blindsided by a change or trauma you can’t ignore.

Or, life has enough challenges and traumas without adding in a pandemic that maybe you’ve just been dealt one of those “normal” challenges.

Regardless of why or how or how many challenges have come your way, this card shows what would help me find peace in the moments.

Find yourself at a cabin in the woods by the lake. Take some time to enjoy the quiet, clear your head, talk to God, listen, and breathe.

If you don’t have a cabin in the lake, that’s ok. Imagine that’s where you are and you can do everything else on the list.

When you are faced with challenges–breathe deep and look for some peace and quiet.

    1. Thank you. I thought the eagle was appropriate
Isaiah 40:31 – But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

    1. Thanks Denita. I would like to have that real view outside my window or across the lake right now. I’m glad this card inspired you to take a deep breath. I think we could all use some deep breathing right about now.
