Pumpkin Harvest
My absolute favorite part about Kayla McCreadie’s card that is being CASEd for the Global Design Project this week was the background paper created using dies in the same cardstock color as the paper itself. I decided to use the Apple Builder Punch to punch out pumpkins to add dimension and pattern to the cardstock layer.
I also stamped leaf images in crumb cake randomly on the card front layer. Seeds are also stamped across the center of the card front layer which is also where the braided linen trim, colored pumpkin punch and sentiment punch are bundled and featured.
It was so much fun to create a fall card today. I am ready for a little more fall weather around here. And, as I was planning my menu for the week, I checked the weather to see if we were going to have a day that was weather appropriate for grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Who wants that for dinner when it’s 100 degrees Fahrenheit outside? I was so excited to discover we are supposed to have hot, muggy weather in the 90s through Labor Day and then not again until next spring/summer.
The better news was that it shows the highs in the 60s, 70s, and 80s with no lows under freezing until mid-November. That seems like a pretty amazing fall to me. Of course, it’s hard to predict weather that far out and things could definitely change, but seeing the forecast at this point made me smile. And, I put grilled cheese and tomato soup on the menu for later this week.

Howdy! I could have sworn I’ve been to this blog before but after browsing through some of
the post I realized it’s new to me. Nonetheless, I’m definitely delighted
I found it and I’ll be book-marking and checking back frequently!
