Shimmer in the Sky

When a new Stampin’ Up! (R) holiday catalog comes out, I am always looking for new stamps that are related to the Christmas Story. This is the reason for Christmas and I was soooo excited to find an angel stamp that I enjoy that helps create the scene of the announcement to the shepherds.

I created both a #simplestamping version of the design as well as the avid version. Both versions add color to the meadow with sponging . Both versions have stars on the inside of the card as well as a Christmas sentiment and angel stamped with Silver Delicata ink. The metallic inks are now retired from Stampin’ Up! and are no longer available.

Both versions have the shepherd and sheep stamped directly on the bottom front of the card in Tuxedo Black Momento Ink. Both cards have the angel on the front of the card stamped in silver, but the avid card has the angel cut out and attached with dimensionals to the embossed sky. The sky on the simple version of the card was stamped with Stargazing stamps and the sky on the avid version was dry embossed with Swirls & Curls and then sponged with silver ink.
