Sneak Peek: Sweet Stockings Suite

Did you ever get a pet for Christmas? What would you do on Christmas morning if you raced to see what was in your stocking and saw a cute face peeking out? I don’t think the pets I’ve had in my life would do a very good job of waiting patiently in a stocking hanging on the mantle or stairway for even a couple of minutes. What about you?

I wanted to create some greenery for the stockings to be hanging near. So, I used the Sparkle of the Season bundle to create a winter greenery border and then hung my stockings along the border.

I love the Sweet Stocking Suite. The Designer Series Paper has great images of lots of fun pets getting into Christmas mischief and a couple of the stockings were directly die cut from the patterned paper. On the reverse side of a lot of the papers are patterns that are prefect for stockings. The puppy stocking is one of those and I used the felt from the Suite to create the trim on the stocking top and toe.

The different texture of the felt adds just that extra touch and makes you want to reach out and touch the card.
