The Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper is SOLD OUT. So, for today’s card, I chose to use the New Horizons DSP for the background. You could choose to create your own background paper either by watercoloring, ink blending, or using alcohol ink.

But, all of those techniques take some extra time and at least for me cause a bit of a mess. But they are also relaxing and a great mindfulness activity if you need something to focus on and take you away from the world for awhile.

But, if you’re short on time or just want to work on the creation of a card without extra techniques, there is some gorgeous patterned paper out there you can use for the background of your card.

This card uses the masking technique. There is new masking paper coming in the 2022-2023 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog. I can’t wait to play around with it. There will be a masking class coming in the near future.

This card was inspired by one I created earlier using the Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper.
