Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day . . . one of those holidays that feels very different to everyone. Do you spend the day celebrating your mother, grieving her loss, or celebrating a substitute mother who raised you instead of your biological mother?

If you are celebrating your biological mother, another mother figure, or any mother you know, you probably want to create a special gift packaging for that special gift you have picked out. Creating personalized, handmade gift packaging is one of my favorite things to do. It’s really not too difficult to create a one of a kind gift box that fits the size of your gift exactly. And, the patterns in the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper are gorgeous and perfect for that special Mother’s Day Gift.

To add even more personalization to your gift, create a matching homemade card. The coordination is my favorite thing about Stampin’ Up! I don’t have to spend any of my creative brain power matching colors and making sure products look good together. Stampin’ Up! has already done that for us. I knew that using products from the same suite would mean everything would go well together and I would end up with a gorgeous finished product.

The Hues of Happiness Suite is perfect for these Mother’s Day projects. Both the card base and bottom of the gift box are created with Melon Mambo Cardstock. Both use Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. The card adds the Happiness Abounds Bundle (stamps and dies) as well as using the Glossy Dots for a finishing touch.
