Video: Christmas Window

This is the third week of the month, which means time for a Christmas card using the featured stamp set of the month. This month, the Rainbows of Happiness stamp set is not used on today’s card. But, the Brilliant Rainbow Dies are.

The first time I saw a window created from the Rainbow Dies, I knew that was something I wanted to try for the Christmas themed card this month. Thank you Ashley Sokal for sharing this inspiring alternate way to use these dies.

But, I learned something important while trying to make the window. I used the Silver Foil Specialty Pack hoping to make a silver window frame. But, it is only silver on one side and white on the other. What I discovered is that you need to be able to cut a rainbow out of both sides of the paper so that you have the curves going in two different ways. So, my Silver Foil attempt did not work.

I changed to plan to Basic White Cardstock and got a beautiful window for my Christmas card. The New Horizon Designer Series Paper makes a gorgeous sight to view through your window.
