Video: Nativity with Angel Wings Christmas Card

Today’s card represents the very first thing I saw when I looked at the dove dies. While I’ve since come to love and appreciate the doves and how gorgeous they are and the peaceful cards they make, doves are not the first thing I saw when I looked at this set.

I saw angel wings. When I saw the die used to cut these delicate wings, my very first thought was they would make perfect angel wings. My second thought was, I need to own that set.

This card uses those gorgeous angel wings to stand guard and celebrate over the manger and the birth of Jesus. There are a few things I’ve learned through the process of creating angel wings that I talk about in the video tutorial, but also want to mention here:

• The wing die only cuts out wings in one direction and since I wanted to turn one over to help it look like an angel, it is important to use a paper like cardstock that is the same color or pattern on both sides.
• There are lots of ways to add sparkle to the wings. Wink of Stella (like these), Shimmer Paint, Glitter
