One Sketch – Two Designs

When I saw the sketch for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week I had ideas to create with that sketch both vertically and horizontally. I couldn’t decide which way to go, so I thought, Why not make both? Here they are.

The vertical design uses the Dove of Hope stamp set and both Detailed Dove and World Map dies. The die cut dove resting on the World die represents peace on earth.

The soft colors of the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper seemed appropriate for this card. This paper is part of the Designer Series Paper Sale that runs through October 31. The first layer of DSP is even embossed with the Winter Snow embossing folder. The sparkle glimmer paper used to add a little something extra to the dove’s wings is retired. But I got to wondering what shimmer paint or wink of stella would look like. I think I just might make some more dove’s using those products and we’ll have to see what they look like. The horizontal design features an evergreen forest. The first layer is a pattern from the ‘Tis the Season DSP which also happens to be part of the Designer Series Paper Sale through October 31. The top layer is the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder used with gold foil.

This would make a great Christmas card or really any type of occasion you need–just change the sentiment on the inside.
