Video: Unicorn on the Rainbow Trail

New month brings a new featured stamp set and ever since I decided Hippo Happiness would be my featured stamp set for July, I’ve known I wanted to make a card featuring a unicorn and the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. Since this is the week we celebrate Indpendence Day in the USA, I thought for a minute I should make a patriotic card this week and save the unicorn and rainbow trail for another week. But, I was too excited, so here it is the first week (even the first day) of July.

You will see on the video I had some trouble removing what I thought was the adhesive sheet backing from the unicorn horn. I didn’t discover until I went to cut out another horn that it didn’t even have adhesive sheet on it. The whole time I was trying to separate the paper layers of the silver foil itself. Believe it or not, with enough determination, you can remove the white paper layer from the silver foil. But, when you do that, the die is not sticky and won’t adhere to your project. It was only after I tried to stick down the separate horn and it wouldn’t stick that I decided to cut out another one and found my mistake.

Once I cut out the unicorn horn on the silver foil with the adhesive sheet, the backing separated easily and the horn was simple to adhere. 🙂

I think ruling out operator error is always the first thing I should try. 🙂
