Your Happy Place

Where is your happy place? Mine is my craft space of what I call my office. Lately, it’s become a pretty sad place. What we at C.A.R.D.S. call our “room of doom.” When I started being unable to find items I know I have, I became determined that it’s time for a little clean-up/organization.

The good news is I love organizing. I mean I LOVE, LOVE it. The clothes in my closets and dresser drawers are in rainbow order. I alphabetize my spices and my non fiction books are in order or the Dewey Decimal System. Did I mention I LOVE organizing?

So, my craft room can still be my happy place right now and I can spend hours working in there. Touching my favorite objects, surrounded by beauty and inspiration, and getting everything organized so I can find my stuff. Sounds like a happy place and tons of fun to me.

What about you? What is your happy place? Does mess and disorganization bother you? Maybe your happy place is not in your home. What about outdoors, in nature, by water, or in the mountains. Or, it could be in the hustle and bustle of the city.

Wherever it is, I hope you can take a day or more and spend it in your happy place.

Light green slimline card with purple rectangle. Die cut basket of craft supplies is over rectangle with sentiment that says "Go to your happy place and stay there all day!"

Card Details

Here is a slimline card representing my happy place. If you put your craft supplies in a basket or tote, you could carry them with you to wherever you consider your happy place.

The purple rectangle was created by just swiping a gorgeous grape ink pad across the card front. Then, the rectangle frame was cut out of another piece of cardstock and layered over the purple swipe.

Next, I colored the craft supplies with markers in my favorite colors. Some of those colors are retiring so that is why the marker packs are on the Last Chance Sale List. Don’t worry. There will still be markers available, they will just be the new color family configuration and include the new colors.

Finally, the sentiment from This Birthday Piggy stamp set was used to encourage you to spend time in your happy place. The image that went with this saying in the stamp set was a pig in the mud. But, that is not my happy place. So, I paired that saying with images of my happy place.

What’s your happy place?

  1. LOL, my craft room is DEFINITELY the room of doom right now. After removing all the retired stamps and pads, I have lots of space but where do I put the old stuff? Some I can’t bear to part with! Anyway, your card echoes lots of our rally cries–our craft rooms are definitely our happy places! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Players this week!
