All That Glitters
When you’re ready to celebrate the New Year, what comes to mind. I think sparkle–like this card. This card was actually created for the SUO Challenge #342–All That Glitters. When I think of things that glitter, glimmer, sparkle, shine, etc, I think of stars.
What do you do when you have a creative idea, but you don’t have all the items necessary to create it? You pivot.
I was at my parents when I created this card and did not have access to the Stars at Night stamp set, so I improvised. My mom had the retired stamp set, Star of Wonder. That is one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! stamp sets ever and created the exact mood this card needed.
Then, when you get access to the stamp set you had first thought about using, create your original idea.

Card Details
Don’t have a layer of background paper you want for your card? Create your own. Stamping and heat embossing silver glittering stars on black cardstock created the background paper for this card.
The same images were stamped on the top focal point square along with the sentiment. All were heat embossed with silver to add even more sparkle.
Adding a strip of More Dazzle paper between the background paper layer and top featured square introduced even more glimmer.
Another strip of More Dazzle paper adds glitter to the inside of the card as well. What a perfect way to celebrate the New Year.
