Amazing Ink for Amazing You

I am drawn to projects created with the alcohol ink technique. I can’t fully explain why I am a so drawn to that finished product, but I am drawn in. Maybe it’s because you start with one color and with just a few drops of another substance (rubbing alcohol in this case) and it spreads and turns into different shades of the same color with interesting specks of the lighter shade, peaks and valleys, and lines of dark border all coming from the same original spot of alcohol ink. And, in multiple examples using the same color, no two are ever exactly the same. All are unique and I love the uniqueness and one of a kind nature.

It reminds me a bit of people. No matter how similar they may seem, no two are ever exactly alike. Let’s pretend each color of alcohol ink represents one family. So, no matter that they come from the same household, same DNA pool, many of the same experiences, adding a single drop of another substance (individual experiences) creates a individual work of art. Even having the same experience as someone else will not create an exact clone. The addition of a new substance/experience creates uniqueness and individuality. We are interesting works of art and discovering the differences and things that make us and others unique is what makes life fascinating.

Sorry about that tangent. I hope it made a little bit of sense.

If you do not have the desire or time to create your own alcohol ink work of art, Stampin’ Up! has some gorgeous designer papers that are a photo realistic image of someone else’s creation of alcohol ink art. That is what I have used on this card.
