Birthday Fun Fold

What first comes to mind when you think birthday? I think celebration, fun, bright colors, joy, happiness. My first thought for a birthday card challenge was why not make a birthday fun fold?

Fun folds are the epitome of celebration. You not only get a card that is bright and celebratory, but you also get the fun of a bit of a surprise. Something outside the box. Not what you were expecting.

I know not everyone has bright, cheery thoughts when they think about birthdays; especially their own. Especially milestone birthdays.

When I was 29, I was not looking forward to my 30th birthday. I thought the end of my twenties meant the end of fun. I didn’t want to be 30. I didn’t want to be old.

Then, I was involved in a car accident when I was 29. Suddenly, my perspective changed. Turning 30 was no longer something to be dreaded. Turning 30 was a blessing. I was thankful to be alive. Every birthday is a celebration of life.

This year I will be turning 50. Some would say that’s officially over the hill. I saw it’s just another day to celebrate life and live life to its fullest however long I continue having birthdays.

Since every birthday is a celebration of life, why not make every birthday card a party. This one has bright colors, confetti, ribbon, and rhinestone sparkles.

It might be fun to add a little real confetti to the envelope to add another moment of surprise and celebration when it is opened. No matter what age you are turning, celebrate your birthday with joy.
