Boy T-Shirt Birthday Card
This is the first Thursday of the month which means a new featured stamp set for Angel Stamps weekly Facebook LIVEs. The featured stamp set for this month is Well Suited with the Suit and Ties Dies. It wasn’t until I had started the FB LIVE that I realized the only part of the Well Suited Suite used on this card was the pocket die from the Suit and Ties Dies set. You could always use sentiments from the Well Suited Stamp Set and Well Suited Designer Series Paper for the t-shirt to use more of this month’s featured suite.
But, I was in the mood for a brighter, more casual print t-shirt for a birthday card, so I made some adjustments on this card to make it more of what I needed. I also wanted to customize my t-shirt to fit the Paper Players Challenge this week–Theme: Slugs, Snails, and Puppy Dog Tails: Cards for Boys. I had always heard Snips, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails and I’ve always wondered what exactly is a snip? Like a little cut with scissors? Slugs at least I understand.
I only customized my card with snails and a puppy dog tail, but at least I know what a slug is. I didn’t add any to my card, but it’s about the right time of year for me to be able to find you a few on my deck at night. 🙂 The short sleeves are made with pocket dies and I added another pocket to the front of this t-shirt with a snail inside the pocket. The inside of the card has more snails around the puppy dog tail from the back half of a stamp from the Hot Dog stamp set.

This is SO cute, Angel! I LOVE the snail in the pocket. I could see my son doing that when he was younger. I am so glad you shared with The Paper Players this week!
Thanks Ann. I think there are quite a few things that come in boys pockets. 🙂
Angel I love how you tailored your t-shirt completely to my theme this week – a snail in the pocket is a not uncommon discovery for young boys, I feel! I hadn’t heard the ‘snips, snails…’ quote before this challenge but it seems you aren’t the only one that knows the rhyme that way. I have also heard ‘Frogs, snails..etc’ so I guess there are lots of variations. Thanks for playing along with my ‘Cards for Boys’ challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
Thanks Joanne
