Celebrating with Fireworks

It’s time to celebrate. And, these peas are celebrating not only a birthday, but they’re doing it in style. They’re celebrating with fireworks.

Maybe the birthday they are celebrating is America’s. What about you did you celebrate America’s birthday this week? How did you celebrate.

I wore several patriotic shirts and earrings. We cooked hamburgers, brats, and corn on the grill. Celebrated with ice cream. There were fireworks happening all around me most of the week–especially on Independence Day.

But, my celebration with fireworks consisted of creating this card, some heat embossed fireworks, and watching the fireworks happening in New York City on my TV.

What about you? What did you do?

Turquoise green birthday card with layer of patterned paper with pink and purple splotches. Turquoise green rectangle on top of that with white rectangle with postage stamp edges on top. Pod of three celebrating peas along with an individual pea wearing a party hat with a noise blower are stamped on the postage rectangle die and colored in. A pink and purple glimmer firework die and adhered under to right and bottom left corners of the postage die. The sentiment "HaPEA birthday" is stamped at the bottom of the turquoise rectangle.

Card Details

Want to create a fun celebration card but not use typical colors? Use whatever colors speak to you. I want to help you turn your crafting stress into success.

The colors used for the card were the colors for CAS Colours and Sketches #540. It used some of the 2024-2026 In Colors: Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop, and Summer Splash. When you look at Summer Splash do you automatically think, now that’s the color of peas? No? Me neither. But, it worked perfectly with these peas and their celebration.

White inside of card with pink and purple fireworks stamped at top left corner. Strip of pink and purple patterned paper runs along bottom of inside.
