Curvy Christmas Stars

“O Holy Night, the stars are brightly shining . . .” This is one of my favorite Christmas carols and the reason I start thinking stars when I start preparing for the Christmas season.

I grew up in a small town in rural Kansas and even lived in the country from the time I was 10 until I graduated from High School. Thee was no light pollution obssccuring the starlight. I loved seeing the stars and learning the constellations with my Dad.

I spent much of my adult life living in places with too much light pollution to see the stars. I was delighted to find that my most recent location while still officially in the city, lies close enough to the outskirts where I can still see the stars.

I love looking at stars now and finding the constellations I learned growing up. Orion is my favorite. What’s yours?
