Fall Leaves Glimmer and Sparkle

It is time for Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop again. I always look forward to this time of month and whether or not I manage to get a card ready to enter for the hop, I love looking at the amazing cards and admiring the talent of the Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world. Make sure you take advangate of the list of links at the bottom of the post to enjoy the amazing talent around the world for yourself.

This card came together as I wanted to play with some of my new Stampin’ Up! products. I got my brand new Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine this week and wanted to try it out. The very first thing I tried out with my new machine was to emboss the wood patterned paper from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. The first dies I tried with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine were from the Snow Globe Scene Dies. The deer found it’s way to the front of this card.

I also wanted to use the Autumn Punch Pack, so I tried all three punches out with metallic paper, Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper, and Rainbow Glimmer Paper. I know at first glance, the Rainbow Glimmer Paper seems pretty bright, but I wondered if using a small punch with it could create a great fall leaf. Well, I was thrilled that it did work and I was able to get some glimmer added to this card.

I also entered this card in a couple of challenges. Tic Tac Toe 076 and Watercooler Wednesday 283. I made a Tic Tac Toe with animal, embossed, and glitter/glimmer paper. At first glance, you might not think this card is a feminine card. But, as I was making this card, I was thinking of my mom and her love of nature and leaves and rich fall colors. So, that makes it a card with a feminine twist in my mind.
