Easter Bunny

Valentine’s Day is over, so is it time to think about Easter and springtime? Apparently, I think so. Lent did begin this week. The first thing that came to mind when seeing the fluffy rabbit in the Fluffiest Friends stamp set was Easter Bunny.

What do you think? Is it time to start celebrating Easter?

Lent is the 40-day period before Easter. It is a time to reflect and spend time focusing on God’s gift of grace. Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection makes our salvation possible. It was through His sacrifice for our sins that makes it possible for us to be called children of God and live eternally with Him.

Lent is a 40 day period we spend focusing on that and culminates with the celebration of Easter Sunday.

There are many who choose something to give up for the 40 days of Lent. I do not fast or give up something. I have chosen to add an in depth Bible study on the resurrection of Jesus, called “Body of Proof” by Jeremiah Johnston. I am also adding the Promises of the Cross with Arabah Joy. For the 40 days of Lent, I am focusing on the promises we have because of Jesus’ death on the cross and Easter resurrection.

Are you celebrating Lent? Are you giving something up or adding something to your life?

Card Details

This card was inspired by the Global Design Project #432. I was inspired by the fun fold design of the sample card.

Pastel colors seemed appropriate for Eater and springtime. The circles on the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper are a reminder of Easter eggs. In fact, an oval was fussy cut from a sheet of Bright & Beautiful DSP and added to the rabbit die to have the Easter bunny holding an Easter egg.

The rainbow adhesive-backed dots also resemble Easter eggs.

The fun fold faux step design of the card allow it to stand easily on it’s own for a fun display. But, there is a surprise inside. Inside the card, there is a place for you to stamp and/or write a private message to the recipient. Make sure you check out the video tutorial to see how this card is all put together.
