Oh So Important Texture
It is time once again for Kylie’s Monthly International Blog Highlights. This is where Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world come together to share amazing projects . The theme this month is Thank You. There is always something to be grateful for and always someone who deserves a thank you card to let them know how they have brought joy into your life.
Today’s card is a sneak peek of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper that will be available when the 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog goes LIVE in TWO DAYS!!! (June 3).
When cutting these strips of DSP, I found myself thinking about texture and how the actual tile, fiber, etc. would feel beneath my feet or in between my fingers. I found myself transported to an earlier time in my life when I could draw up the feeling of a soft blanket between my fingers and all the positive, cozy memories intertwined with that texture.
They say the senses like smell, taste, hearing, sight have the ability to transport you instantly to a place in your memory. That is definitely true with touch as well. It’s amazing how different textures bring different memories to mind–some good and some not so good.
Make sure you take time to see the others cards and vote for your favorites. VOTE FOR ME HERE
The gallery will go live at 4pm CT Monday, June 8, 2020.

Thank you Jen
It’s so true that our senses, including touch, can take us to another time. Thanks for sharing your texture card Angel. Thanks for being part of my international blog highlights this month and all the best with the voting!
Thanks Kylie. I’m frequently amazed at the memories that are invoked by a familiar sight, sound, smell, taste, or touch.
How true. Good Luck
