Sending Thanks

Fall ushers in what many consider the season of thanks. Many focus on sending thanks during November and after the Christmas holiday.

Give Thanks Daily

Giving thanks should be a part of our lives year round, not just during one season of the year. Taking time to look around daily and give thanks for the blessings all around us can change our attitudes and outlook on life. Giving thanks tends to help us see the positive and learn to appreciate what we have and others more.

Giving thanks is not necessarily the same thing as sending thanks. I try to consciously give thanks and look for the blessings around me daily. But, that does not mean I share those with others all the time.

Giving thanks in my own mind, journal, prayer time etc. does wonders for my own outlook on life. It is good for my soul. It impacts my interactions with others throughout the day. But, it does not have the same effect on others that thanking them directly would have. Don’t just think thanks in your head. Say it out loud.

Send Thanks Today

Why don’t you take a minute to make a card, write a letter, make a phone call . . .and tell someone how they have blessed your life. Don’t just give thanks. Take a minute a send thanks today.

Card Details

The colors for the card were based on the CAS Colours & Sketches weekly challenge. Those colors were all retired Stampin’ Up! colors so I chose three that were close: Merry Merlot, Old Olive, and Bermuda Bay.

Inside of card with colored flower that matches the flower on the front.

The flowers and leaves were colored in using Blender Pens to draw the color from the outline of the stamped image into the centers.

Old Olive Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers added color to the Frayed Linen ribbon.

Thank you cards need an pop of something special as an extra show of appreciation. This card uses gold foil to frame the image and add some bling.
