Spring Flowers Thank You Card

It certainly felt like spring where I lived today, so why not dream about spring flowers and make them the focal point of a thank you card. The Sale-A-Bration Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper was the first element I chose to represent spring flowers on this card. It helped set the color scheme for the whole card.

The gold foil floral die is gorgeous on it’s own, but I wanted to add a little extra color so I watercolored behind the images using colors from the DSP.

I don’t think I’ve ever used quite so much ribbon behind a sentiment on a card before, but I was inspired by Kim’s card we are CASEing at Global Design Project this week. I certainly had a lot of fun creating loops and leaving long tails of ribbon flying beneath my die cut sentiment.

I’m ready for spring to arrive and to see these flowers beginning to grow all around the neighborhood. What about you?
