This is one of those designs that looks one way in my head but requires a little tweaking and more than one try before I get a card that looks similar. I saw the sketch for this week’s CAS(E)this Sketch and I thought of this design using the wheat stamp from Gather Together. The first attempt showed me that I needed to re-ink my Crushed Curry ink. Stamping a second attempt left me frustrated at how the newly re-inked Crushed Curry left the stamped image. I got frustrated and put it aside thinking I’d make a third attempt sometime later. Well, I went into my office to create another card and I was much happier with this second version. Either the ink had dried in a way I now liked, or I was in a bad mood before and it helped to see things with fresh eyes. Or maybe both.

Lesson learned–if you’re not happy with your creation, set it aside and go back to reassess later. You might be suprised how you feel about it now.
