Pop Up Nativity
Advent is a little different this year since Christmas Eve is on a Sunday. This is the fourth Sunday of Advent with introduces the theme of love. It is also Christmas Eve, which is the end of advent and celebrates the Christ candle is honor of Jesus’ birth. What better way to celebrate than with a pop up card featuring the nativity.
The Advent season is a time of anticipation waiting for this day, Christmas Eve, the birth of Christ. Throughout the month, we’ve been focusing on the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love all awaiting this day–celebrating the birth of the King.
When you consider this Sunday’s Advent theme–love, think about the love a mother for her child, the love of Joseph for his family, the love of the shepherds and wisemen who came to see and worship the child. But, most of all, think about the love of God for the world. Think about the love Jesus has for us that He would come to the Earth as a helpless baby, knowing His purpose would be to die on the cross as the ultimate, perfect sacrifice. He paid our debt so that we have a way to a right relationship with God.
Think about that love.
