Turtle Front Flip Strip

For today’s card I CASEd myself. I was inspired by an earlier card I had created, but wanted to step it up a bit. I’m definitely using different Designer Series Paper since I am using new 2020-2022 In Color DSP and Cardstock.

The stepped up parts of this card are the Stitched Circles with the turtle and the gold foil circle. The circles are adhered with dimensionals to a strip of DSP that is not adhered to the front of the card. It is adhered under the card interior and folds over the card front to keep it closed. In order to open the card, you must first open the flap with the circles.

For the Just Add Ink challenge this week, I chose Trees and Texture. The Trees were represented in the Designer Series Paper strip with the leaves and pine needles. I suppose these could be considered the “flowers” of their respective trees, but they just make me think of the trees themselves so that’s what I’m choosing as one element. The other is texture. It is represented in the pattern on the other DSP strips as well as the stitching on the dies and the gold foil itself adds a different texture.

I chose to use Trees and Texture which are represented in the designs of the DSP.
