Berry Love

It’s just beginning to feel like spring around here on a regular basis and I’ll looking forward to summer. At least the beginning of summer when fresh berries are in season. Although maybe fresh berries are in season during late spring??? Whichever. While we wait, let’s make a card celebrating berry love.

Are you looking forward to fresh in season berries? Which berry is your favorite? I am a big fan of raspberries, but blackberries are often in my crisper drawer as well.

How about caterpillars? Have you seen any crawling around yet?

Purple card with layer of red cardstock and then layer of patterned paper printed with strawberry and blackberry plants. Strip of cardstock across card front is stamped with "sending love." Pink caterpillar holding strawberry plant is at end of sentiment. Card front decorated with ladybug embellishments.

Do you have some patterned paper that you love so much you don’t want to take your scissors to it? I want to help turn your crafting stress into success. Take that patterned paper and make it the hero of your card. Cut it full size for a card front and make it the featured element.

This card CASEd Cindy Coutts design for SUOC400. I chose to CASE the sketch and also use a Designer Series Paper with leaves and flowers. I used a sentiment strip on the front of the page with another element added at the end of the sentiment.

This card was also created this card for the As You Like It Challenge: Bright or Pastel. To be honest, my immediate answer was neither. The dark, rich colors of the Regals or more Neutral colors seem to call to me more. But, if I’m choosing between the two, I am more drawn to Brights. They seem to be a bit cheerier and provide joy and bring a smile to people’s faces.
