Scarecrows, Pumpkins, and Thanks
What comes to mind when you think about fall? We’re in October so do Halloween thoughts fill your head? October for me will always bring thoughts of pumpkin patches. I would say this card pretty much sums up my thought about fall–scarecrows, pumpkins, and thanks.
Those are my preferred symbols of fall–add in some colored leaves, mums, and sunflowers and it makes for a pretty harvest festive area.
What about you?
What are your favorite symbols for fall? Does it change by the month?

Card Details
This card was created with the SUO Challenge #412 in mind. I chose to CASE the taller slimline card from that photo. The Painted Pumpkins Suite uses softer colors with some non-traditional pops of color thrown in. I chose to use a more traditional fall colors. The cardbase and pumpkins actually use the Stampin’ Up!® color Pumpkin Pie. Could you ask for anything more traditional for fall? Even the name makes you think of Pumpkin Patches and Thanksgiving dessert.
The entire project uses Pumpkin Pie, Golden Glow, and different shades of brown. Those colors definitely say fall to me. Besides creating a Slimline card, I also CASEd it in other ways.
How I CASEd the catalog
- Slimline card
- Repeated pumpkins on card base. Mine were stamped. The original was a piece of patterned paper.
- White rectangle to build the scene on
- Die cut fence
- Brown ground under the fence
- Sentiment about thanks
